Pobeda Piskaceva — Architect of the Macedonian Diaspora
A portrait documentary by Canadian Macedonian Media about the producer of Macedonian Edition.
The producer
Producer, director, writer, host and editor of Macedonian Edition — a one-woman newsroom serving Macedonian Canada since 1998.
Pobeda Piskaceva is an independent producer, host and journalist with more than twenty years of experience in television production. She holds a B.A. in Law and Political Sciences from the Law University in Macedonia. Her first job was as a reporter for Macedonian Radio & Television in Skopje, the capital of Macedonia — for five years she handled all aspects of daily broadcasting of local and national news: writing, editing and presenting stories on air.
She moved to Toronto in 1990, working as a host and journalist on CFMT Channel 47 and Cable 4, then as an associate producer, segment producer and reporter on Diverse City for Rogers 10 Television. Since 1998 she has been the independent producer, director, writer, host and editor of Macedonian Edition.
She is a correspondent from Canada for Macedonian Radio & Television in the Republic of Macedonia, and serves as External Affairs Director of the annual Macedonian Film Festival in Toronto.

She wrote, produced and shot The Border (1989), on drug smuggling, and Voden (1998), on the tragedy of the refugee children of Aegean Macedonia.
Born in Poland, fluent in four languages — and broadcasting in two of them, Macedonian and English, every edition.
A B.A. from the Law University in Macedonia grounds three decades of sharp, careful journalism.
For years the program's General Sponsor was Pobeda herself — an independent insurance broker who kept the cameras rolling with her own work.
