Twenty-eight years of Macedonian Canada, on film
Macedonian Edition promotes and sustains a greater understanding and appreciation of Macedonian culture and heritage in multicultural Canada.
The program features the events of the Macedonian community in the Greater Toronto Area, portraits of successful Macedonians in Canada, and interviews with Canadian politicians and journalists. Macedonian traditional and contemporary music, short films, plays and art created by Canadian artists of Macedonian background all find a home here.
Selected current affairs and news footage from the Republic of Macedonia keeps viewers informed of homeland events. The language of the program is both Macedonian and English — like the community itself.
For years the program aired across Ontario on Rogers Television (channels 10, 63 & 84), on alternate Saturdays with a Thursday rerun. Today, every edition lives on — streaming free, worldwide, in the Archives.
The woman behind the camera
Producer, director, writer, host — and editor
Since 1998, every edition has been the work of one remarkable journalist: Pobeda Piskaceva. Reporter in Skopje, broadcaster in Toronto, documentarian, and the program's own general sponsor.

From cable TV to a digital archive
- 1998 — First broadcast
Macedonian Edition premieres on community television, bringing Macedonian language and culture to Ontario airwaves.
- 2012 — Edition 300
Three hundred editions on Rogers Television channels 10, 63 & 84 — alternate Saturdays at 12:30, rerun Thursdays.
- 2018 — Edition 410
Two full decades of continuous, independent production, and a growing archive on YouTube.
- 2021 — A landmark moment
The CN Tower is illuminated in red and gold for the 30th anniversary of Macedonia's independence — and the cameras are there.
- 2026 — Edition 442 & the Archives
The program's digital home opens at macedonianedition.ca, with 124 films free to stream, anywhere in the world.
